Interior Painting

We are responsible for all preparation prior to painting. All scraping, sanding, wallpaper removal, caulking, drywall or wood repair, patching, stain removal, filling nail holes or any defects with plaster or putty, cleaning, taping, preparation and priming are considered to be done by the professional contracted painter.
Our professional painters have a keen knowledge of tools of the trade, including sanders, scrapers, paint sprayers, brushes, paint rollers, ladders and scaffolding, in addition to just the paint in order to correctly complete work.
Much preparation needs to be considered before simply applying paint.

Step by Step Interior Painting

Step 1: Filling. Any nick or ding in a wall smaller than a dime will be filled prior to painting. Cracks in walls will also be filled prior to painting.
Step 2: Drop Cloths. All of the surfaces and furniture to be worked around will be protected with canvas or plastic dropcloths. Additionally, tape will be used to protect any areas where dropcloths would be impractical.
Step 3: Caulking. We will caulk around baseboards and trim as needed.
Step 4: Painting! As you can see, painting doesn’t even begin until we have done a thorough prep job. At this point, painting can proceed using the best quality paints and applicators.
Step 5: Daily Cleaning. On multi-day jobs, we make sure to pack-up and pick up at the end of the day.
Step 6: Final Inspection. Before the crew packs up their equipment, we do a final walk- around to ensure all contracted areas are painted properly.
Step 7: Survey. At the end of each job, we ask our customers to complete a customer satisfaction survey to ensure that all work has been performed to meet or exceed your standards.

The modern composition of paints results in latex formulations being widely used for exterior as well as interior. That reduces post painting cleanup, and reduces the smells associated with petroleum and polyester based paints. Computerized paint scanners formulate new paints to match the often faded colour of existing paints. Many chain stores offer colour matching service.

Modern paints are available in various specialized formulations that can be fade resistant, chip resistant, odor free, antibiotic to resist mould and fungi growth, etc.
